“ARMY Han-Puri” Follow Up: Solutions For Racism & Colorism Issues In The Fandom

Yesterday marked the first #ARMYHANPURI (ARMY Han-Puri) discussion thread. If you’re not familiar with the concept, you can see the special introductory thread here:

The topic of the first official discussion was an especially heavy one: racism and colorism issues within the fandom. The official discussion thread:

I was actually surprised by how many comments and how many participants there were for this very first discussion post. I know some people would have liked way more ARMYs to have taken part, especially because of the subject matter. Honestly, I was petrified there might be no comments or maybe only a couple. So things went WAY better than I expected them to.

So I was thrilled that there was a lot of dialogue and sharing of different opinions and experiences! There are still some kinks to work out regarding scheduling and format. But I’m very confident after last night that things will work out even better as the weeks pass.

As I said in the original ARMY Han-Puri thread, I’d be highlighting some of my favorite answers from the discussion. I’ve posted the questions from PART II & III of the thread. If you would like to share your own input on a tweeted question, you can do so in the comment section below!

Once again, thanks to everyone who participated!!!

I’ll be highlighting answers from the ARMY Han-Puri discussion on Twitter during the week as well. I really enjoyed this discussion! It was very brief, but it gave me a lot of hope. I also believe that as time passes, these conversations will grow and we’ll get to hear all kinds of helpful and heartful solutions from ARMYs around the world.

If you didn’t get the chance to participate, as I said, I’ve included the questions so that you can share your own thoughts in the comment section below. Thanks again!
