I created this page so that there wouldn’t be any confusion later on about what I will and will NOT tolerate in my comment sections on this website. Some people will unironically spout mess like, “Freedom of speech!” when something they write gets deleted by the site owner or they get blocked/banned.
Susan, I’m not Congress! I am the one paying to keep the lights on around here so it stands to reason I get the first and last say as to what comments are allowed and which ones will get you broomed out the door. 😆
Anyway, if you just follow these simple rules, you shouldn’t experience any problems. 👍🏾💜
3 Simple Rules For Not Getting Booted From My Website!
RULE 1 – Please be polite.
Even if you disagree with others, don’t go the name-calling route. BTW, jumping on here insulting ARMYs gets you booted automatically. I’m an ARMY. Why would I tolerate that on MY website? Just, no!
RULE 2 – Do not spam.
Thankfully most typical spam gets filtered automatically so it’s not really an issue. However, I also consider “spam” to be off-topic comments and jumping down the comment section asking the same question over and over. This behavior is rude, so please DON’T do it! I’ll warn you one time, then you’re getting banned.
RULE 3 – I get the first AND last say in what’s appropriate for my comment section.
This is probably the most important rule to remember because at the end of the day if I feel a comment goes too far or just isn’t appropriate for OGAB, I will delete it. If I’m moved to do something like this, I’ll usually explain why.
I’m not interested in arguments about how unfair I am for deleting comments, or how I suppress opposing opinions because of yadda yadda yadda.
If you feel that strongly, there’s nothing stopping you from taking your OWN resources and creating your OWN website, too! 😀
This is really all you need to know about how to interact with OGAB, but if you have any questions, just shoot an email to firstname.lastname@example.org!
